Create an Icon Easily

this allowed me to easily create a *.ico file. It was simple to use and preoduced exactly what I needed.

Excellent software for producing favicons

This simple app does exactly what I wanted - to produce a favicon.ico file which can be recognised by Internet Explorer. It works in next to no time at all by uploading a 16px x 16px jpg, producing an IE compliant favicon.

I may also use it for making icons for use in other contexts, but haven't tested it for this..

Be sure to save your file as a .jpg or .bmp before importing. Does not support .GIF, apparently.
